Even More Progress at Diesel Way, Nanaimo

Great progress continues at our newest development at 1950 & 1960 Diesel Way in Nanaimo. Our construction partner has been hard at work, and the site is transforming quickly. Here’s a look at how the site is shaping up.  Apart from continuing the deep service install to the city roadway, read on for more updates…

Building A

For July, excellent progress has been made. Crews successfully mobilized to the site, are awaiting wall panel delivery, and have started installing the Canam building system. Wall panel installation is also underway.  Progress is being made on the steel beams, joists and Q decks as well.

Building B

As with Building A, even more progress is happening! In July, we continued backfilling the pad footings,
continued the forming pad footings, the pilasters, the set anchor rods and moved forward on the concrete pour.  Foundation formwork and the backfill around the foundation piers are also progressing.  Work to continue the compaction around all SF2 pilasters is in progress, and surveyors are now on site to continue pining exterior foundation GL. Footing and foundation rebar deliveries are continuing, and the concrete forming crew is continuing their work as well.
