Lance Torgerson
Owner
Lance Torgerson is the owner of Tor Properties and a prominent entrepreneur in Western Canada. His journey began with Noralta Lodge in 1997, which became a major player in the remote lodging industry of Northern Alberta. Noralta Lodge consisted of 11 lodges offering 7,900 rooms for remote workers. The company was sold to Civeo Corporation in 2018. In 2015, Lance expanded his portfolio with the acquisition of Vantage Living, a retirement living business providing vibrant senior living accommodations in British Columbia and Alberta.
Myles Radford
CFO
Myles Radford serves as the CFO of Tor Properties. With extensive experience in both private and public companies, he brings invaluable insights to the business. Myles oversees financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, full-cycle accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, and tax matters. He began his career articling at Deloitte in their audit and assurance group, where he contributed to serving numerous clients. Myles earned his B.Comm. (2005) and B.Sc. (2001) from the University of Alberta and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2008.
David Stone
VP, Construction and Property Management
David Stone is our VP, Construction and Property Management and a seasoned leader known for his strategic acumen and effective guidance across a diverse array of fields including Operations, Project Management, and Safety, among others, amassing over 38 years of experience. Notably, he spent 21 years honing his leadership skills within the Canadian Navy, showcasing his adeptness at leading teams in dynamic and time-sensitive environments.
Zeeshan Choudhry
Director of Finance
Zeeshan Choudhry currently holds the position of Director of Finance at Tor Properties. He is a seasoned financial professional with over 15 years of extensive experience spanning various countries and industries, encompassing property management & Real Estate, oil & gas, health services, construction, sport & entertainment. He started his career straight out of University with his BBA Finance & Accounting with NFL Europe in Amsterdam and later returning to Canada in 2007 and growing into his current role as controller. As Director of Finance, he spearheads pivotal initiatives including implementing new inventory systems, overseeing the migration of our payroll ERP system to a new platform, and construction financing management.
Fathima Shahid
Controller
Fathima Shahid is the Controller at TOR Properties, where she leads the accounting team. She brings extensive property accounting experience, including several years in leadership roles. Fathima oversees month-end close, financial reporting, payroll, and external and CRA audits across the group of companies. She also develops the processes, controls, and training that help finance and site teams work efficiently, and partners with operations and leadership to support informed decision-making. She is focused on building a finance function that scales TOR’s growth.
Michael Doornbos
Senior Project Manager, Construction
Michael Doornbos, BArch, GSC, LEED AP BD+C, Lean Yellow Belt, is a Senior Project Manager, Construction with deep expertise in construction practices, sustainability, and architectural design. He brings a strong work ethic, clear communication, and a continuous‑improvement mindset to fast‑paced project environments. With 28 years of experience spanning project management, safety, and construction operations, Michael is recognized for delivering high‑quality results while supporting efficient, sustainable, and well‑coordinated project outcomes. His practical leadership and commitment to excellence contribute to consistent performance across complex construction projects.
